Punch Taverns undergo an incredible makeover in their head office. The Burton upon Trent based company wanted to create an industry-leading training facility, with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment. A facility designed to train publicans in every aspect of operating a pub.

TVC a leading supplier of commercial AV and domestic appliances were chosen to supply and install the latest high-end audio-visual equipment throughout the new facility. TVC has worked with Punch on multiple previous pub projects in recent years.

The project requirement was for multiple displays and connectivity throughout the training centre, meeting areas and reception. To help achieve this TVC supplied the training bar area with 4 x 55” & 1 x 40” Samsung Hospitality TV’s, ideal for presenting and used as a welcome screen.

The training facility also contains a 300-seater conference room; equipped with 3 x Optoma projectors & 3 x 55” additional Samsung Hospitality TV’s, allowing great visibility throughout the theatre.

Chris Whitlock, Technical Director at TVC, said: “The integrated AV system, although intuitive and easy to use by staff and trainers, provides Punch with a truly flexible multi-functional space to train and keep its publicans up to date”

Moreover, TVC also installed Cloud speakers with an Audac Quad Channel 480W Power Amplifier and Trantec microphones to help ensure staff and visitors could always be easily heard; whether the room is being used in its entirety for a large conference or split into three rooms of smaller training sessions.

The new CEO at Punch, Clive Chesser said, “To ensure our new and current publicans get the best training support available we have developed this industry-leading facility.  Whether they are starting out in their first pub business or building on their expertise they can do that using the most innovative training environment around, helping them create great pubs which we all love”.
