Rocket Eats | Case Study

Retail Technology Solutions

Situated within a Spar Store in Bolton, Rocket Eats is a new premium food-to-go concession stand, offering gourmet burgers, fries and shakes.

The Brief

As the first of a new franchising brand, the stand needed to set the standard for all future Rocket Eats and with that task, came the need for state-of-the-art digital signage to complement the futuristic theme and give customers the ‘out of this world’ experience.

Of course, state-of-the-art is the standard for TVC products, the real trick was to find a way for content - in this case a flying rocketship – to soar across all the screens, giving the illusion of one connected screen.

The Delivery

We supplied and installed five 55” Philips 4K D-Line displays, where MySign Digital Signage content can be displayed easily and with high visibility to potential customers.

The 4K content can be altered using the inbuilt scheduling, allowing morning, lunch and evening changes according to the menu offerings.

To tackle the added challenge of the rocketship’s multi-screen journey, extra hardware was needed and two Datapath FX4s were installed to connect the five digital signs. Now the rocket moves seamlessly from screen one through to screen five.

We were very happy to be involved in the flagship stand of what we are sure will become an extremely successful franchise! We believe the use of the Philips narrow bezel screens add to the futuristic look of the brand, and the small touches like the Datapath FX4’s create a very streamlined and polished look.
