G3 Vehicle Auctions | Case Study

Retail Technology Solutions

Situated just off Junction 32 of the M62 in Castleford, G3 Vehicle Auctions provides daily vehicle auctions both to the general public and to trade accounts.

The Brief

No stranger to innovative action, G3 wanted to go further and create the UK’s most interactive vehicle marketplace at their renowned flagship auction centre. For this, they needed digital signage that would not only surpass the industry standard, but also be future proof.

The solution had to reflect the stellar reputation G3 have earned over the years as one of the highest attended auction centres in the region, and provide customers with the wow-factor that they’ve come to expect from G3.

The Delivery

TVC implemented a variety of digital signage solutions throughout the G3 auction centre to create a sleek and streamlined platform, showing customers upcoming sales and auctions in a way that perfectly complements the high standard of vehicles on display.

A total of seven state-of-the-art Philips Q-Line 4K Display screens were supplied and installed throughout the centre.

5 x 55” screens went to the main auction hall, giving the space a modern and polished look and offering high visibility to all customers – an absolute essential in the auction halls.

MySign’s digital signage solution controlled one of the Philips screens, showing general news and upcoming events, while the other four showcase upcoming and previous sales from G3, and the live feed.

Two more of the screens were added to the Reception area, one 65” and one 43”, allowing customers and visitors to view the tailored MySign content while they wait.

In both the red and black zone auction halls, a 4.2m x 2m Absen N4 Plus LED panel videowall was supplied, controlled by Novastar 300 CTRL.
Owing to the versatility of the panels, these lavish displays were able to be installed flush against the curved walls, adding to the high level of sophistication of the rooms. And as both screens are capable of displaying both G3 custom content and Mysign general signage, they were the ideal choice.

Another LED videowall by Absen was equipped in the pre-auction viewing room, this one on a slightly larger scale of 4.9m x 2m to give even more clarity to G3’s customers. This extra visibility was crucial, as not only does the screen display MySign’s general signage, but it also includes custom code to display a live video stream from the main auction hall.

The addition of these screens has created a premier customer experience, giving them full accessibility to all the information they need whilst visiting. We have no doubt that this will contribute greatly to help G3 claim the title of the most interactive vehicle marketplace.
