The Flower Bowl is a mixed leisure destination offering a host of attractions – including a curling rink, ten pin bowling alley, crazy golf course and cinema. It is envisaged that the large single-storey building, which has an undulating grass roof to give a natural appearance, will have sheep grazing on top of it!
In October 2016 TVC began initial discussions to help create Lancashire’s best and most unusual leisure venue; offering a range of exciting activities under one grass-covered roof, with completion set for late 2018. The Flower Bowl is the latest addition to the family run Barton Grange Group, located adjacent to the existing Garden Centre. They wanted to provide a leisure offering that would appeal to their core customers.
Using our industry ‘know how’ we specified and installed a total of 19 x 32” & 55” Samsung Hospitality and Commercial LFD screens around the venue, seamlessly mounted in high visibility areas using Peerless SmartMount Universal Flat Wall Brackets. The displays are used for wayfinding and providing informative information to visitors.
A further 17 x 46” Samsung Hospitality and Commercial LFD screens were used to create 3 striking video wall displays. In the main foyer, located outside the entrance to the cinema is the larger 9 screen video wall used for displaying the latest movie trailers. The 2 smaller but equally impressive 4 x screen video walls were used in the entrance to the shop, showcasing the Secret Garden Crazy Golf, and the Private Bar & Karaoke area. To provide easy access to any display, Peerless SmartMount Full-Service Video Wall Mounts with Quick Release were used, specifically designed for quick service access, they provide an ideal video wall solution.
Compact, lightweight Canon short throw projectors were installed within the curling arena to project eye-catching winter scenes through a virtual window to the outside world, the compact flexible and efficient projectors are perfect for creating smooth engaging images in the small spaces, this was supported by the MyLook Digital Signage software solution.
Finally, to help create the perfect acoustic atmosphere and create a ‘welcoming’ feel throughout the venue, a series of BOSE flush-mount and surface-mount speakers were both ceiling and wall mounted; giving versatile and high-performance, they are designed for foreground and background music and speech reproduction.
