Hounslow Golf Park is an exciting golfing entertainment complex for the whole family! With two mega floodlit adventure golf courses, a spectacular driving range with arcade-like video golf games, an all-weather beginners 9-hole course and an outstanding café and bar – there really is something for everyone. From toddlers to teenagers and golfing gurus to grandparents, Hounslow Golf Park is the ultimate golfing paradise for all ages.

The Brief

Wanting to entertain customers on and off the golf course, the client requested various large-scale TV screens to be fitted in the café to display live sport and daytime TV. In addition to the AV equipment indoors, they required a TV screen in each driving range bay, connected to their intuitive digital scoring system, it will display players scores automatically through the golf balls they are assigned. A final action point set out in the brief was a bespoke solution to protect the new TV screens from potential water damage caused by condensation dripping down from the corrugated metal roof of the driving range.

The Delivery

The Hounslow driving range bays are split into two levels, with the ground level bays utilised daily from early morning opening till late in the evening, and the second-tier bays only used during busier periods, because of this we decided to specify a different type of screen for each floor,

For the ground floor bays we opted for 43” Philips Hospitality Full HD TV screens which are designed to operate for longer periods without compromising on picture quality. In addition to the digital scoring system, customers can play engaging, interactive games which would also be shown on these digital display screens. The CMND & Control feature allows for remote configuration of the TVs from a central location, staff can update and manage all the digital displays with minimal effort, all without having to disturb guests. An additional benefit of the chosen model is their low power consumption, which will reduce environmental impact and lower operational costs in the long run.

As the second-tier bays are only used during busier periods, for example at the weekend or when large groups hire out several bays at once. 43” Mitchell & Brown Full HD TV screens were deemed the best option for this area, suspended from the ceiling using B-Tech flat screen ceiling mounts with tilt and swivel offering freedom of positioning.

Several larger LG 4K digital display screens ranging from 50” – 70” were mounted in and around the café, the mesmerising 4K picture quality will allow Hounslow Golf Park to showcase the latest live sporting events to their customers while they’re enjoying the high-quality menu on offer.

Finally, management had been experiencing difficulties with condensation dripping down from the corrugated metal roof onto the TV screens. They sought the help of TVC to provide a bespoke TV shield to protect the digital displays from water damage. With a wealth of experience in supplying and fitting Outdoor TV solutions, we designed a prototype acrylic cover for the new TV screens. Staff at Hounslow were so impressed with the TV shield design that they requested it to be rolled out for all 40+ digital displays that were fixed above the driving range bays to prevent damage from water ingress.
