Go Local is located on Morris Green Road in Bolton. It’s a handy convenience store offering groceries, fresh fruit and veg, hot drinks and occasion cards to its customers. Also, it’s a certified Lottery and Carrs Pasty seller.
The owner of Go Local contacted TVC to specify a bespoke outdoor TV and intuitive digital signage solution for the side of the premises. Due to the busy roadside location of the store, Go Local wanted to take full advantage of the volume of passing traffic from both locals and commuters. Their aim is to capitalise on this by using the display screen for outdoor advertising of their latest promotions and product offers. In addition to this, they plan to sell advertising space to other businesses in the local area, providing another source of revenue for their business.
After a detailed discussion with the client to establish the best way to meet their requirements, a 55” Dynascan High Bright screen was deemed the best option for this project. With a maximum brightness of 2500 nits and a dimming LED backlight, they emit high contrast imagery and have low power consumption. Specifically designed for outdoor use, high bright screens are ideal for improving visibility when screens are exposed to sunlight and reducing screen glare interfering with the picture quality.
Due to the outdoor display screen being subjected to all weather conditions, it was secured in a Armagard 55” Portrait Outdoor TV Enclosure. This protects against collisions, heavy rain, and is sealed to a IP54 rating. The outdoor TV enclosure offers a rugged, cost-efficient solution to shield dedicated outdoor displays and provide long-term outdoor security.
A MySign Cloud Based Digital Signage Solution was connected to the outdoor digital display screen, the content management system (CMS) permits staff to update the digital signage quickly and efficiently at shop level.
