Genting Casino Resorts World

Genting UK is one of the country’s leading leisure and entertainment companies and forms part of the global Genting Group.

They offer customers the very best in gaming and entertainment, from casino games – including roulette, blackjack and slots – to welcoming bars and restaurants.

Whether you are a regular player or visiting for the first time, Genting Casinos provide a modern and inviting environment where gaming, hospitality and social experiences come together.

The Brief

Following initial discussions in November 2025, TVC Technology Solutions was appointed to deliver a striking large-format LED display for Genting Casino at Resorts World Birmingham.

The screen was to be positioned above the main bar area, creating a unique and visually impressive focal point, creating an iconic centrepiece within one of the casino’s principal entertainment spaces. It needed to present live television, sport, entertainment, promotional material and branded content clearly and reliably on a large scale. The solution also required flexible distribution of multiple video sources, picture-in-picture functionality, intuitive control for Genting employees and a bespoke mounting structure engineered around the size and configuration of the specified environment.

The Delivery

Hisense LED Screen Solution

At the centre of the installation is a bespoke Hisense XIHFE Series COB LED display measuring 7.8m wide by 3.375m high, providing a total screen area of an eye-catching 26m².

The display uses a fine 1.56mm pixel pitch to produce detailed, high-quality imagery across the large-format canvas. Its completed resolution of 4,992 × 2,160 pixels provides more than 10.7 million individual pixels, allowing live broadcasts, promotional graphics and branded content to be presented with exceptional clarity.

This was particularly important to Genting Casino, wh0 wanted a striking visual centrepiece that would enhance the customer experience and encourage repeat visits. The screen is constructed from 130 die-cast aluminium cabinets arranged in a 13-by-10 configuration.

This modular design creates a precise and consistent finish while allowing individual areas of the display to be accessed when servicing is required.

COB LED technology provides a durable and uniform display surface, making it well suited to the demands of a busy public-facing entertainment venue. A 3,840Hz refresh rate also helps ensure smooth reproduction of fast-moving content and strong performance when the screen is captured on camera.

Content is processed through a NovaStar VX2000 Pro controller, providing the processing power and control required to manage the high-resolution LED canvas. The processor also supports advanced display layouts, scaling and picture-in-picture functionality.

WyreStorm Distribution

To provide Genting Casino with greater flexibility over the content shown on the LED wall, TVC incorporated four WyreStorm NHD-400-TX NetworkHD encoders into the system.

The encoders convert HDMI sources into low-latency IP video streams, allowing content to be routed through the venue’s network infrastructure and delivered to the LED processor.

This enables Genting employees to switch between different sources depending on the requirements of the venue, whether showing live sport, television broadcasts, entertainment, advertising or branded promotional material.

The WyreStorm system also works alongside the NovaStar processor’s multi-window and picture-in-picture capabilities. This allows more than one source to be presented simultaneously, creating opportunities for tailored screen layouts during major sporting events, entertainment programming and promotional campaigns.

By using an IP-based distribution platform, the solution also provides a scalable foundation that can be adapted as Genting Casino’s content and distribution requirements continue to evolve.

B-Tech Wall Mount Solution

A bespoke B-Tech mounting system was engineered to securely support the 26m² LED display and provide a stable foundation across its full 7.8-metre width.

Fine adjustments allowed TVC’s engineers to precisely align all 130 Hisense LED cabinets, minimising visible gaps and creating a seamless display canvas.

The structure also supports front servicing, making key components easier to access for future maintenance, while bespoke surround panels along the perimeter of the display deliver a clean, integrated finish that complements the surrounding interior.

The Result

The completed installation provides Genting Casino Birmingham with an iconic large-format display that commands attention across the entertainment space.

Hisense COB LED technology, NovaStar processing and WyreStorm distribution allow employees to present live broadcasts, sport, entertainment and promotional content, including custom multi-source layouts.

Securely supported by a bespoke B-Tech structure, the integrated solution delivers a seamless, flexible and visually impactful platform that enhances the customer experience.
