The Starting Gate is your local pub in the St Helen’s area. With big screen sport, live music, quiz nights and all your favourite drinks on offer, there’s something for everyone! Being a longstanding partner with the Craft Union Pub Company who have recently acquired the Starting Gate, TVC were tasked with giving the pub an AV refurbishment.
Wanting to offer customers as many screens to watch the live sport on as possible, we were asked to re-use 2 x 65” TV screens in the Sport Games Area. TVC Engineers mounted them on Peerless flat wall brackets which allow easy access for maintenance. 4 x Vexo 8” speakers were also added in addition to a 10” Audac Subwoofer for busier periods when louder audio is necessary. 2 x single unit lighting effects were included in this area to be used alongside the Subwoofer. This equipment is perfect for use when live musicians are performing.
In the Central Main Bar area, 4 x Samsung LED TVs in a range of sizes were fixed behind and around the bar on a mix of Peerless and B-Tech flat wall brackets. 1 x existing 55” TV screen was re-used as it was in good condition and still functioning well. For audio, 4 x RCF 6” surface mount speakers were supplied and fitted on horizontal speaker brackets. 2 x lighting effects were re-used in this area too.
A single commercial grade media player was supplied by TVC and connected to a display screen behind the bar, the bespoke MySign digital signage software allows easy and flexible promotion of the drinks offers to customers which can be updated internally by staff.
The AV makeover completed by TVC as well as a revamp of the interior and exterior of the premises, means that the Starting Gate in St Helens is now a modern venue where you can meet friends to watch the football, grab a refreshing pint, or take part in the weekly pub quiz.
