Traditional Horse and Jockey Modernised by TVC with new TV Screens and Audio

Horse and Jockey 4

The Horse and Jockey is a standalone pub situated in the middle of Rawmarsh in Rotherham. It is known in the area for its mock Tudor style and a large horse racing themed mural painted on the side of the premises in keeping with the name of the pub. While the traditional style remains, new owners have invested into renovating the venue including an overhaul of the TV screens and audio equipment.

In the Bar Lounge area, we supplied and fitted an impressive array of new screens, including a 75” Samsung 4K LED TV as well as 1 x 65” Samsung Hospitality 4K LED TV and 4 x 55” Samsung Hospitality LED TVs on Peerless flat TV brackets. We often opt for flat TV brackets because they allow the TV screens to be mounted flush to wall giving a sleek and modern look. Due to this area being next to the bar where lots of customers gather during busier periods, 10 x Audac 8” 175W Loudspeakers were fitted on swivel brackets. An Audac 10” Subwoofer and 2 x single unit lighting effects were included to use alongside the Loudspeakers when louder audio is needed such as at the weekend or on quiz nights.

In the Bar area, 1 x 55” Samsung Hospitality LED TV and 1 x 32” Samsung Hospitality LED TV were installed on a mix of B-Tech and Peerless flat TV brackets. The smaller TV screen was positioned behind the bar at a high visibility point so it can be used to display drinks offers and marketing materials. To facilitate this, we chose an easy-to-use digital signage player with bespoke MySign digital signage software and templates. Staff at the pub can now edit and update the content on screen at their own discretion.

An outdoor viewing area is a huge attraction for new and existing customers and puts you a step ahead of the other establishments in your area. The Horse and Jockey is now home to a large outdoor viewing area including several wooden tables and chairs and a covered viewing area to watch live sport outside. 1 x 55” Samsung Hospitality LED TV was positioned under a sheltered wooden canopy at the back of the premises. To ensure the TV screen is protected from damage and unfavourable weather conditions, it was secured within a TVC Outdoor TV Enclosure.

The new owners at the Horse and Jockey are ready to welcome old and new customers to this unique venue. You can pay them a visit anytime and don’t have to worry about the unreliable British weather to enjoy the live sport inside or outside!
