The Western Sports and Social is based in the heart of Rickmansworth, recognised by the locals for their great food menu, drink, live sport and socialising. The Hertfordshire pub had a complete makeover that involved removing all the existing fittings and infrastructure to replace it with newer modern equipment, that also included changing the name of the pub from the Druid to The Western Sports & Social.
The Western Sports and Social is the number one venue in Rickmansworth where you can watch your favourite live sport and a place to #BeSocial.
For the AV refurbishment project, the requirement was to have wall to wall large screen TVs with audio to help add to the vibrant atmosphere, along with a system to help promote products.
A complete commercial av system was provided to the specification of the client, that included commercial large screen TVs, a commercial high-end audio system, a 3x 3 video wall and a picture in picture signage system. In total 8 x Mitchell & Brown 43″ – 65″ 4K UHD TVs, 3 x 32″ Samsung Hospitality LED TVs, 10 x RCF 6″ speakers, 9 x 46″ Samsung video wall screens and Peerless wall brackets, cables and fittings were supplied and installed.
For this project we used Wyerstorm Network HD, Network HD allows staff to seamlessly switch sources via an IPad controller. Network HD is a flexible, multipurpose IP Network distribution system that offers stunning 4K HDR Video, multi-channel audio and auto-scaling to smoothly handle mixed 4K and 2K components.
TVC Technology Solutions Technical Director Chris Whitlock said the project was completed to the specification and within the time frame, with all parties pleased with the final result.
