PJ McGinty’s (Now the Halberd Inn) has traded as a wet-led Irish themed pub for several years, just off the main circuit in Ipswich. The intention was for The Halberd Inn to focus on entertainment, sports and events throughout the year.
Owned by Punch Taverns, the renovation of the Grade II listed building comes as a boost to Ipswich following the loss of several pubs recently. The owners wanted to equip the pub with screens across the premises in preparation for the upcoming holiday season and major sporting events.
We gave the pub an audio-visual makeover consisting of 5×65” Mitchell & Brown Ultra HD 4K LED TV’s and 2×55” Samsung Hospitality TV’s across the main bar, well room and function room, seamlessly mounted in high visibility areas using Peerless SmartMount Universal Flat Wall Brackets. Additionally, a selection of 6” Cloud speakers were installed, distributing audio throughout the building, they can be used discretely in almost any venue and fit elegantly on the wall.
We also installed another 3×65” Mitchell & Brown Ultra HD 4K LED TV’s within protective weather and water-resistant TV Shields in the stunning beer garden. To compliment the visuals, 4 x JBL waterproof speakers were added, excellent for a wide variety of environments, they provide crystal clear audio, making it a great place for entertainment in any weather.
Clare Hepburn from Punch helped oversee works to The Halberd Inn: “We’re really happy to be investing in Ipswich. It’s become a vibrant town and we’re happy to be a part of the ongoing regeneration of the high street and town centre.”
