The Greyhound pub is a friendly, traditional local based in Diss. It has recently changed hands and is now part of the Craft Union Pub Company. They have invested money into renovating the premises to convert it into an attractive venue with comfortable indoor and outdoor areas for regulars and new customers to watch live sport.
In the Bar Lounge, 1 x 55” Samsung Hospitality LED TV and 1 x 32” Samsung Hospitality LED TV were mounted on B-Tech flat TV brackets. To accompany the TV screens, 4 x Cloud 6” Loudspeakers were installed so customers can clearly hear the sporting commentary. The Loudspeakers can also be used on quiz nights and when live singers are performing.
In the Rear Bar area, an existing 75” Samsung 4K Hospitality LED TV was reused but complemented the additional 1 x 55” Samsung Hospitality LED TV and 1 x 32” Samsung Hospitality LED TV installed on a mix of Peerless and B-Tech flat TV brackets. 2 x Audac 8” 175W Loudspeakers were then supplied and fitted on swivel brackets. Swivel brackets provide a degree of flexibility because you can adjust the positioning of the Loudspeakers when louder audio is needed.
The 2 x 32” Samsung Hospitality LED TVs situated behind the bar will be used to display drinks offers and Craft Union marketing materials. Therefore, we decided the best solution to update the digital signage on screen was a digital signage player with bespoke MySign digital signage software and templates. This facilitates the easy update of the digital signage on the TV screens by staff in the pub.
Another addition is the Sports Area boasting a brand-new dart board, fruit machine and pool table. Customers can now have a competition of their own while watching and listening to live sport! 1 x 55” Samsung Hospitality LED TV was reused in this area. It was decided a superior level of audio was necessary because groups of people tend to congregate around the pool table. We opted for 2 x Audac 8” 175W Loudspeakers on swivel brackets for everyday use. Then a 12” Subwoofer was added alongside 2 x single unit lighting effects for weekend use to get the party started!
To ensure the Outdoor Area is suitable for big groups to socialise and watch football, an existing 55” LED TV and Outdoor TV Enclosure was reused and mounted underneath a new wooden canopy. This means customers no longer have to rely on good weather to take advantage of this zone. 2 x new Audac 5” Loudspeakers were used due to them being sealed to an IP55 rating. These specialised outdoor speakers are designed to withstand extreme climate conditions such as water, UV and are splash resistant.
The Greyhound is now your go-to local in the Ipswich area, make sure to pay them a visit if you’re ever passing – you’ll be greeted with a smile and a cold beer!
