Following a 6-figure investment, The Oxford Hotel pub in Nottingham has reopened its doors after a complete refurbishment inside and out. The pub now hosts an array of the latest, audio and visual equipment to create an interactive and lively environment.
Priding itself in being a community pub The Oxford has a jam-packed events schedule throughout the week. From bingo to free pool, mic night and DJs there is something for everyone.
With the new investment brings a new pub Operator Katie Phillips to take over the day-to-day running of the pub. Here is what she had to say: “I am so excited about this new chapter at the pub. Our new warm and friendly look has given the pub a new lease of life. When I moved to Bulwell, it was only supposed to be for two weeks, but that all changed when I fell in love with the area with this pub. I cannot wait to get to know our local community more.”
Three screens have been positioned around the main bar area. A single 32″ Samsung Hospitality LED TV has been installed as an advertising display screen for any promotional material, such as drinks offers or upcoming events, that the pub wishes to advertise.
Powered by MySign’s cloud-based digital signage solution, the quick and easy to use software allows The Oxford Hotel pub employees to easily update any promotions that are displayed on the screen.
The 75″ Hospitality Samsung 4k LED TV and 55″ Hospitality Samsung LED TV, are both located in the main bar area. With rich colours as well as high-contrast LEDs, they are ideal for broadcasting any live sporting events for their guests. These screens are also built for longevity, with reinforced ports and dust-resistant construction, making them perfect for commercial use.
In terms of audio, we installed 3 Cloud 6″ 100v speakers, which provide a superb audio experience with a clear bass response. These speakers will be excellent for contributing to the creation of an immersive viewing experience.
The sports bar has been equipped with 3 new hospitality screens including 2, 55” Samsung 4K LED TVs and 1, 65” Samsung 4K LED TV. These types of screens are specially designed to be situated within a commercial setting with a high-quality picture, having been designed with durability in mind ensuring they can operate for a longer duration when compared with standard/domestic TVs, making them perfect for pub settings.
The screens are complemented by 4, Audac V8 175W loudspeakers and an Audac 10” subwoofer which provides a deep and clear bass sound, significantly enhancing the audio experience within the pub setting.
Finally, we added 2 medium lighting effects to the main bar area, which improves the ambience and makes a great complement to any pub setting. Boosting the sensory experience as a whole and helping to keep customers entertained and engaged.
The Oxford Hotel pub’s outdoor area received a 55″ 4K LED Samsung Hospitality screen secured within a TVC external enclosure. These speciality enclosures are specifically designed to protect a screen from wind, rain and other extreme weather conditions that would normally harm a screen, allowing a pub’s outdoor TV screen to be kept outside permanently without the additional costs required for a fully weatherproof screen.
