The Grapes Inn
The Grapes Inn, traditionally a watering hole for anyone docking in the Falmouth harbour, first opened back in the 1700s. The pub has reopened its doors on the 20th of July 2023 hosting an array of six new Samsung hospitality screens, ten speakers, one Audac subwoofer and three new lighting effects.
Main Bar Area
In the main bar area, we installed a 50” Samsung 4k LED TV at the side of the bar fitted with a peerless flat wall bracket. This peerless wall mount is designed for a sleek low-profile look. When paired with a crisp 4k crystal clear display this helps create an immersive experience perfect for showcasing the latest in live sports. The 32” Samsung Hospitality LED TV fitted behind the bar will display current drinks offers using a state-of-the-art digital signage player with bespoke MySign digital signage software and templates. If staff want to change the messaging on screen they can now do so quickly and easily.
Rear Bar Area
The rear bar area at the Grapes Inn is the largest open space within the pub and so was taken full advantage of and is where the most AV equipment was added. We ended up installing one 75” Samsung 4k screen along the back wall near the pool table and two 65” Samsung 4k screens positioned on the two remaining walls. We always use hospitality screens, on our pub projects as hospitality screens are designed to be more robust being able to withstand more wear and tear meaning that they can also be left on for long periods of time without any issues, unlike domestic TV screens.
To complement the TV offering in this section of the pub a whole host of speakers and lighting effects were installed to really help give The Grapes Alehouse a great atmosphere for any DJ and karaoke nights. In the end, we ended up installing a total of seven RCF 6” surface mount speakers. These elegantly designed ceiling speakers are designed to sit flush against the ceiling and fit seamlessly within the room. These speakers are specifically designed for announcement and background music making them perfect for any pub setting. All these speakers combined with a subwoofer and two medium lighting effects creates the perfect energetic environment for any events being hosted at The Grapes Inn.
The Snug
Near the front of The Grapes Inn, there is a ‘Snug’. As the name suggests this is a rather small space so with this in mind only one 55” Samsung 4k hospitality screen was installed, paired with 6” loudspeakers. This gives any customers of the Inn the opportunity to enjoy every detail and immerse themselves into any content and sound being played while also ensuring that the space isn’t being overwhelmed.
Lastly, Melissa the new pub operator has been quoted as saying “The Grapes really is a hub for the community here, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to see the new look. Our entertainment offering is really exciting, and it’ll be great to see old and new faces alike getting involved in all the upcoming events we have going on.”
