Cother Arms Pub “Back Bigger and Better than Ever!”

Previously known as the Wishing Well, the newly renovated Cother Arms is now “back bigger and better than ever” following a six-figure investment. The renaming of the pub comes from Watford FC’s Cother Brothers, Edwin and John, who were the club’s first black players and true local legends. The venue’s new interior has created a more open and spacious feel and with a variety of large screen TVs throughout – there’s no better place in the Watford area to catch all the best sporting action with friends and family.

In and around the Bar Area, new owners sought to enhance the TV offering with access to BT Sports on a range of TV screens in different sizes. 2 x impressive 75” Samsung Hospitality 4K LED TVs were mounted to the right of the bar, Hospitality TVs can run for 16+ hours per day in comparison to Domestic TVs that are designed to run for an average of 6 hours per day.

A 43” LG Hospitality LED TV was repurposed and fitted directly behind the bar, it was then connected to an existing digital signage player with bespoke digital signage software and templates. This TV screen will be used to display drinks offers and marketing materials to queuing customers, this could potentially upsell products before they reach the front of the queue!

To the left of the bar, booth style seating was added to offer groups of people a more private area to socialise. 1 x 43” Samsung Hospitality LED TV was installed in each booth to watch all the sporting action on, and it gives customers the flexibility to change the TV channels if desired.

Finally, a freshly updated darts area with an illuminated dartboard has created the ideal environment for a healthy competition between friends. This alongside the brand-new pool table and 2 x large single unit lighting effects for use at the weekend on quiz nights or when live artists are performing!

Operator of the Cother Arms, Becca Harrington said: “It’s a great feeling to welcome guests back to the pub once again after the exciting refurbishment. I’m thrilled and very proud to oversee this fantastic local pub through its redevelopment. I really couldn’t be more pleased with how it has turned out. We’ve had a great response from our regulars on the new appearance and we’ve been as busy as ever since reopening the doors and celebrating an amazing feat for England’s Women Football team. I have a real passion for both the local people of Watford and pubs, so to be able to see this place busy again is fantastic.”
