The Mousetrap Social was one of the latest pubs to be added to the Amber Taverns portfolio, as they opened their doors in December 2025 following a major renovation that included a complete AV overhaul.
After a series of successful collaborations over the past year at King Street Social Tap in Huddersfield and the Iron Ram in Derby, Amber Taverns once again trusted TVC to transform their brand-new Nottingham venue with a full AV refurbishment.
For this flagship site, Amber Taverns asked for a fully immersive audio-visual solution featuring a bespoke indoor LED display, premium Samsung 4K LED hospitality TVs, Optimal Audio zone control combined with the latest high-performance loudspeakers from Audac — all designed to replicate the standout experience found across their most advanced venues within the estate.
TVC Indoor LED Display
The centrepiece of the installation is a 3m x 1.5m 2.6px indoor LED display, strategically positioned to dominate the main bar area with bright, ultra-sharp visuals. As one of the most impactful technologies in the venue, the LED display dramatically enhances how content is showcased, providing a level of brilliance and clarity that standard large-format screens cannot match.
For Mousetrap Social, the benefits are substantial. The LED’s high brightness levels ensure that content remains vivid even during peak daylight hours or under strong venue lighting, making it ideal for live sports, promotional messaging and branded entertainment. To deliver exceptional audio coverage across all areas of the venue, TVC installed a range of Audac V108, V106 and X6 loudspeakers supported by a powerful 15” subwoofer, DSP amplifiers and an Optimal Audio zone controller. This professional-grade audio system ensures a rich, detailed sound profile that enhances the venue’s lively social atmosphere.
The quality of the Audac speakers ensures clarity even at higher volumes, avoiding distortion and maintaining guest comfort during peak times. The system is equally well-suited to quizzes, announcements and private functions thanks to integrated microphone and amplifier support, making it a versatile asset for the venue’s growing events schedule.

To complement the multi-zone loudspeaker installation, TVC integrated an Optimal Audio zone control system, giving Mousetrap Social precise, intuitive management of sound throughout the venue. The controller allows staff to adjust volume levels, audio sources and tonal profiles independently across the main bar, rear area and mezzanine, ensuring each space has the ideal ambience for its purpose.
For Mousetrap Social, this level of control offers significant operational benefits. During quieter daytime trading, areas can run softer background music, while the main bar can be elevated during peak hours or major sporting events — all with simple, user-friendly adjustments. The system also supports quick transitions for quizzes, events or private hires, ensuring audio can be tailored instantly without technical complexity.

To ensure a secure and professional installation across all Samsung hospitality displays, Peerless commercial wall brackets were used throughout the venue. These brackets are engineered for heavy-duty, high-traffic environments, offering long-lasting screen support and dependable safety.
Their design allows precise, level mounting that enhances viewing angles from all seating positions, maximising the impact of the 4K displays. The slim, cable-managed profile helps maintain a clean, modern aesthetic that fits the venue’s contemporary interior, preventing exposed cabling and improving overall presentation.
Additionally, the brackets allow efficient access for maintenance or updates if required, reducing operational downtime and ensuring screens can be serviced quickly.
