A New Layout For The Rose And Crown Pub

The rose and crown pub

Hemel Hempstead’s well-known Rose and Crown pub reopened earlier this year. The pub has been completely renovated, with a new layout and a six-figure facelift both inside and out. One of the original event rooms has been converted into a new bar area, allowing the pub to better utilise its available space. Along with a complete redesign, the bar now includes 8 new TV hospitality screens, 9 new speakers, and a new lighting effect system. The Rose and Crown pub in Hamel, Hempstead, has a new lease on life and a fresh appearance is hoping to help keep regulars coming back and new customers coming in.

The renovation had brought with it a newly appointed pub operator in the way of Keith Cole. Keith is eager to bring new entertainment evenings to the Rose and Crown on various nights of the week in order to keep people coming back for more. He hopes to introduce activities such as karaoke, quiz night, and play your cards right, as well as DJs and live music events, which will sound fantastic on the new speakers and subwoofer that we specified as part of the installation.

Main Bar Area

Starting in the main bar area for this pub installation, we installed three screens, including two 55″ Samsung LED TV hospitality screens and one 75″ Samsung 4K LED TV hospitality screen. These screens are ideal for a pub setting since they can offer bold, vivid colours. The screens have a high contrast ratio, producing deeper blacks and brighter whites, providing an amazing visual experience.

In addition to the three new displays in the main bar area, we placed six Cloud 6″ speakers, which provide broad coverage and even sound dispersion around any event, guaranteeing that every part of the pub receives optimal sound performance.

Side Bar

In the side bar area, two more screens were installed, one 65″ Samsung 4K LED hospitality screen and one 55″ Samsung LED TV hospitality screen, both of which have smooth motion handling, which essentially means that sports fans visiting the pub will be able to watch high-speed fast action content on the screen without experiencing motion blur. Again, three Cloud 6″ speakers were installed to enhance the overall experience and provide the customer with crystal clear quality sound.

Sports Area

We installed two 55″ Samsung LED TV hospitality screens in the rear sports area, the speakers installed in this area were four RCF 6″ surface mount speakers because of their excellent sound quality and discreet installation flexibility. Focusing on clarity and balance, when paired with an Audac 10″ subwoofer, they deliver immersive audio, helping to enhance the overall environment within the pub.

Outside Area

The last area to receive a technology makeover was the outside area, benefitting from a new 55″ Samsung LED TV hospitality screen, and secured within a bespoke TVC outdoor TV enclosure, allows the screen to be left outside all year. The Outdoor TV enclosure provides resistance to wind, rain, and other harsh weather conditions, resulting in a screen that can be used outside without the increased costs associated with a fully weatherproof outdoor TV.

A quote from the new Operator Keith Coles “Community has always been very important for me at previous pubs, and it will be at the heart of what we do at the Rose & Crown. We want to offer something for everyone here. We will be working hard to get the atmosphere right so people can come in and enjoy live sports, music, and everything else we offer. We will be playing different types of music and asking customers what they want so we can ensure we put on the type of acts they really want to see.”
